The Co-Founder of WordPress Matt Mullenweg will be joining us in Sofia for a Q&A Session.
Apart from co-creating WordPress, the most popular publishing platform on the web, Matt is also the founder of Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. Additionally, Matt is a principal and founder of Audrey Capital, an investment and research company, supporting innovative ideas, products and services and helping the WordPress.org project.
The one hour session with Matt will be a great chance for you to bring all of your big Qs about the WordPress of things, the decisions that are being made, the stats, and whatever else comes to mind. Go get your (ridiculously cheap) ticket now if you haven’t already and come to Sofia to hang out with Matt.

Great to hear Matt is coming over again… and even better to see that you’re inviting people to submit questions in advance. Matt’s one of the most inspiring speakers I’ve ever heard, and we should make the most of this opportunity. The anarchy of last year’s ‘raise your hand to ask a question’ session produced too many of the ‘same old’ questions; or questions to which he couldn’t possibly give a useful answer, and I for one found it very frustrating. We definitely should have all questions being submitted and quality-controlled in advance; plus, I’d suggest, an on-stage ‘host’ to keep things ticking along.
Hi Matt, what’s your opinion on automatic updates? What’s needed to have such experience with updates as with Chrome or Firefox?
WordPress backend chat
Hi…i would like to have in my wordpress web sites a way to chat on line with my admins,i think that would be a great idea all users of wp admin to chat in the backend of wordpress without needed external communication ways (skype,gmail) i think is very usefull in web sites with many administrators,a small chat control panel.that could come maybe with a wordpress plugin,if there isn’y any yet…thanks Mat i love Wordrpess i love Automatic!you re a genius,i would like one day to meet you!
Simon, I definitely appreciate being able to see and hear the person asking the question directly. Occasionally there are less generally interesting questions, but I think the benefit is more connection and sometimes that random thing can be really interesting or make me think of something I haven’t before.
This is great! It’s our first WordCamp and we’re already very excited to meet nice WordPress people in Sofia, including Matt. I would be interested in learning more about future plans regarding WordPress.com. Now that it’s open to theme developers from around the world, are there plans to build a huge themes directory / marketplace like WordPress.org / ThemeForest / Creative Market / etc… or do you prefer a smaller themes collection and limit the maximum number of available themes on WordPress.com?
I’ll definitely have questions. Hope we can have two drinks Matt. One is probably not enough.
